The Alzada Singleton Davis Scholarship

Purpose: To provide scholarship support for an African American female sophomore at Cuyahoga Community College’s Metropolitan Campus who has demonstrated academic excellence in the humanities (excluding education or physical sciences) and is matriculating to an upper-division college or university. Selection decisions are based on academic excellence in the humanities. Renewable for one additional year.

Eligibility:
•African American female sophomore student at Cuyahoga Community College's Metropolitan Campus

•Demonstrated academic excellence in the humanities

•Matriculating to an accredited nonprofit upper-division college or university

Selection Process: The award amount will be based on the performance of the fund and number of applicants selected.

Award Info: Past awards have been for $1,000. Award will be paid directly to the institution and must be applied to tuition, fees, books, supplies, and/or equipment required for coursework.

Awarded Student Requirements:
1. Maintain full-time enrollment status

2. Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA

Renewal: This award has historically been renewable for a maximum of 2 total years provided the student meets the renewal requirements and funding remains available.
