Lillian Louise Mayle White Memorial Scholarship
Purpose: This scholarship was established to honor the life and work of Lillian Louise Mayle White, whose commitment to educating young people was unwavering. The purpose of this fund is to advance education by providing scholarships to graduating high school seniors from the Cleveland Metropolitan School District who will be attending a post-secondary educational institution.
• Graduating high school senior from the Cleveland Metropolitan School District
• Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
• Planning to enroll full-time at an accredited nonprofit educational institution
• Majoring in education
• Evidence of significant leadership potential and willingness to contribute time and talent to the community

Selection Process: A selection committee will base its decisions on the completed application form, the above eligibility criteria with additional consideration given to academic merit and a preference to African American students. Financial need will be used as a tiebreaker that gives preference to the neediest among the finalists.
Award Info: The annual award amount will be based on the performance of the fund and number of applicants selected. The general award amount is $1,000. Formal notification of award will be made by College Now to the selected recipient(s). Award will be paid directly to the institution and must be applied to tuition, fees, books, supplies and/or equipment required for coursework.
Awarded Student Requirements:
1. Maintain full-time enrollment status
2. Maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA
Renewal: This is a one-time award and may not be renewed for subsequent years.
