The College Now Mentoring Program
The virtual College Now Mentoring Program is proven to increase retention, persistence, and graduation of student participants. This high-quality, high-impact mentoring program uses a unique, online platform to guide communication between mentor and student through an interactive and personalized curriculum.
The Mentoring Program is a minimal investment of time for mentors – two emails per month, and three meetings or virtual connections per year – but has wonderful results for students! Many of College Now’s students are the first in their families to attend college, and all have demonstrated financial need. On average, 92% of mentored students returned to college for their sophomore year, and on average 70% of mentored students graduated on-time with their degrees. This is nearly double the national average for their peer group!
Over the last 10 years, the College Now Mentoring Program has connected thousands of local students and volunteer mentors, all committed to the individual success of students, as well as the success of our region. We are proud to partner with Say Yes to Education by providing mentors for Say Yes scholarship recipients. Together, we can change the narrative for Cleveland and Northeast Ohio! The College Now Mentoring Program is a proud grantee of AmeriCorps, receiving funding through the Volunteer Generation Fund.
