College Access Advising
School counselors’ roles are responsibilities are continually increasing, sometimes leaving less time for them to individually help students find the right college AND the financial resources to pay for it.
As a result, there is a critical need for college access advising and financial aid counseling in schools to prepare students for educational opportunities after high school, including two-year, four-year and certificate programs.
College Now Greater Cleveland has a team of college access and financial aid experts who can help schools build their capacity for preparing students for college and career. College Now is the only college access and success organization with advisors staffed in over 80 Greater Cleveland schools throughout the academic year. With grade-level appropriate programming for 6th–12th graders, College Now advisors work to make sure that students are prepared for all aspects of their postsecondary education.
For more information on how College Now can help the students you serve, see the Menu of Student Services.
Additionally, our advisors are specially trained to meet the needs of another important group, adult learners. Adults pursuing higher education face a unique set of opportunities, and College Now can provide guidance on educational options toward meaningful careers, financial aid counseling as well as counseling about existing student debt and repayment options.
