College Students
College Now provides support and resources for college students to support them during their postsecondary journeys. College students of all ages can schedule a free appointment with our Resource Center to receive information and guidance on anything from financial aid to scholarships to figuring out the best-fit campus to attend.
College Now and/or Say Yes Cleveland scholarships
Students receiving a College Now and/or Say Yes Cleveland scholarship receive mentors that guide students through their college careers, offering advice, guidance, and support to students. Mentors are volunteers from throughout Northeast Ohio who hold a college degree and are committed to helping our students thrive and succeed in their postsecondary endeavors.
To participate in the Mentoring Program, students and mentors must commit to communicating at least twice a month via email and/or our online platform, Chronus, and meeting (either in-person or virtually) three times per year.
College Now hosts multiple events for mentors and students throughout the year to help facilitate these relationships and give pairs an opportunity to connect in-person.
Graduating soon and unsure about what’s next?
College Now offers multiple programs for recent grads to give back to their community and discover their passions. For students who are interested in taking a gap year to decide what’s next, College Now offers the College Now Gap Year program, which places recent graduates in College Now’s Advising and Programs team to help facilitate College Now advising and programming work. For students interested in a year of service, College Now offers multiple AmeriCorps Programs across the state of Ohio that place students in schools or community centers to support students of all ages in their academic pursuits.
