The Albert W. Geater Memorial Scholarship

Purpose: The Albert W. Geater Memorial Scholarship is an award for deserving Northeast Ohio students studying accounting at any accredited nonprofit educational institution.

Eligibility:
• Resident of Northeast Ohio OR accepted/enrolled in an accredited nonprofit educational institution in Northeast Ohio

• Majoring in accounting

• Enrolled full-time or part-time (minimum 6 credit hours)

• Minimum 2.75 grade-point average on a 4.0 grade scale

Selection Process: A selection committee composed of a broad mix of individuals from Greater Cleveland will select scholarship recipients based on the completed application and eligibility requirements. Additional selection criteria include evidence of commitment to an accounting education, character, potential and ability to benefit. Formal notification of award will be made by College Now to the selected recipient(s).

Award Info: Awards will be paid directly to the institution and must be applied to tuition, fees, books, supplies and/or equipment required for coursework.

Awarded Student Requirements:
1. Maintain full-time enrollment status (unless awarded for part-time)

2. Maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA

Renewal: This award has historically been renewable for up to 4 years, provided funding remains available, and the student fulfills all requirements of renewal listed above.
