AmeriCorps Ohio College & Career Guides

The AmeriCorps Ohio College and Career Guides program places recent college graduates into paid positions in middle and high schools to help guide students to prepare for college and career.

AmeriCorps College & Career Guides are highly qualified and deeply committed, serving as role models for middle and high school students. Relatable and approachable, they help students explore their future and take meaningful steps toward higher education.

College Now has administered the Ohio College & Career Guides program for more than 15 years via a statewide AmeriCorps Ohio grant through ServeOhio. Additionally, the College Now Mentoring Program is a proud grantee of AmeriCorps, receiving funding through the Volunteer Generation Fund.

AmeriCorps Ohio College & Career Guides

AmeriCorps Ohio College and Career Guides undergo significant training and receive valuable professional development, networking opportunities and support with career and graduate school goals. Members serve full-time (over 1,700 hours across 11 months), and receive a modest living allowance, health insurance and an educational award upon completion of the full-time commitment.
